So Daddy is leaving to go duck hunting tonight with Papa & Uncle John. Kim and I are big chickens so we are staying with my Mom. The boys are so excited about our bunking party! I am excited about Mom spoiling us...
Park has been under the weather, but steroids have him on the mend today. Steroids & inhalers are not good to use right before bed. Ha!
And finally, we have a DOG!!! Pictures will follow soon...I have never been an animal rescue type person. This past Sunday a black furry puppy found it's way in our garage. I fed him against Scott's better judgement and we left the house. He was gone when we returned. A few hours later the girls that live behind us knock on the door asking if this is our puppy. I said no and then the Lord stepped in and said take the dog. I told them if they did not find his owner, we would take the dog. One hour later and after much name discussion, Rosco is our dog. Of all people, he adores me!!! I have another baby...Rosco Harris Glaze as Park thinks everyone share his middle and last name. BTW, runner up for his name was Coffee Table!!!

CAN ANYONE ELSE RELATE???
Twas the week AFTER Christmas...
Twas the week after Christmas,
and all through the house,
Nothing would fit me,
not even a blouse.
The cookies I'd nibbled,
the chocolate I'd taste
At the holiday parties
had gone to my waist.
When I got on the scales
there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store
(less a walk than a lumber),
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared;
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared,
The wine and the rum balls, the bread and the cheese
And the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt
And prepared once again to do battle with dirt...
I said to myself, as I only can,
"You can't spend a Summer, disguised as a man!"
So, away with the last of the sour cream dip.
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished
Till all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie, not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie.
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore...
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all, and to all a good diet.

MY MOTTO FOR 2010

STAY READY TO KEEP FROM GETTING READY!!! DR. JEREMIAH GAVE A WONDERFUL SERMON A FEW WEEKS BACK AND IT REALLY HIT HOME. HE USED THIS AS A METAPHOR IN TERMS OF CHRIST'S RETURN AND OUR SALVATION. A MAN WORKED AT A PLANT AND EVERYDAY AT FIVE WHEN THE WHISTLE BLEW, HE WAS OUT THE DOOR. OTHERS WERE THERE FOR TEN MINUTES AFTER COMPLETING TASKS, ETC...THE MAN WAS ASKED HOW HE MANAGED TO GET OUT THE DOOR SO FAST AND HE SAID THAT HE WOULD STAY READY TO KEEP FROM GETTING READY. I THINK WE CAN USE IT IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE AS WELL. HERE'S TO STAYING READY TO KEEP FROM GETTING READY.
